Here at Extra Attic Self-Storage we believe in doing our part to help make the world a better place. That’s why we recently decided to sponsor a wonderful non-profit organization called the Mabopane Foundation.

This organization is based in Apex, North Carolina and was founded by Becky Young. In 1998, Becky visited Mabopane, South Africa on a mission trip. There, her heart was touched by the many volunteers who gave genuine love and care to the children, and by the children themselves, who managed to approach every day with a joyful smile, despite their disadvantaged circumstances.

In 2003, she founded the Mabopane Foundation in order to provide shelter, food, clothing, and education to orphaned, abandoned, abused, or otherwise disadvantaged children in Mabopane.  The company raises funds by having two thrift sales each month that are supported by donations. They also sponsor a bake sale each month. Extra Attic is proud to help in any way we can.

If you, too, would like to help out this organization, there are many ways to get involved. The Mabopane Foundation is always happy to welcome those who want to do the following:

A special thanks to Becky and to all who donate their time, energy, and resources to the Mabopane Foundation.
